Be sure to save changes to your open file before exiting the application as changes may be lost.
Exiting the application can be done from the file menu.
On a Mac, the menu item is Quit, and can also be accessed through the ⌘ + q shortcut.
On a Windows or Linux machine, the menu item is labelled as Exit and can be accessed via the Alt + F4 shortcut.
